I was honored to have The ABC of It selected by juror Eric Shiner for The Grandeur of Power at The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh's Exhibition Space 100 43rd St. Unit 107 Lawrenceville. Particularly fun because long time childhood pal Hisham Youssef also had work in the show.

Delighted to announce that I won the Robert J. Alfonso Award in The Fl3TCH3R Exhibit of Socially and Politically Engaged Art at the Reece Museum, East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee.
What a fantastic exhibition to be in the company of this great group of artists who use their work to raise awareness of the critical issues we face today. A special treat to hang out with fellow award winner Patricia Turner in person after many years. Special thanks to juror Wesam Mazhar Haddad who was so generous with his time. It's a special exhibition in it's 10th year produced by the Dyer family in memory of their son Flectcher.

I was invited by the fantastic artist Pam RuBert to be in the eXreme fiberart exhibition at the ideaXfactory I've been familiar with Pam's work for a long time, and finally had the opportunity to see her work here in Pittsburgh when we both had quilts in Fiberart International Pam was in Pittsburgh recently and stopped by my studio to interview me and visit. Our quilt will be on exhibition at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts through July 31st the other half of this amazing exhibition is on view at the Society for Contemporary Craft.

Honored to be selected and part of the exhibition Threads at the Governor's residence with my dear friend and mentor Tina Williams Brewer. I was interviewed in an article by Valerie Potell about Threads an exhibition curated by the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts. Needle Point will be on view through August, 2016.

It's Curtains was accepted in the New Collective on exhibit at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts November 22, 2013 - January 19, 2014. Particularly great to be accepted because one of the jurors was Renee Stout who accepted Needle Point and awarded it a prize in the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh's Annual Exhibition 2003 which set me off on my journey. Love her work Renee Stout and am forever grateful.

I was co-director of Knit the Bridge a community made fiber art installation (yarn bombing) on the Andy Warhol Bridge. It was the outreach project for Fiberart International 2013 produced by the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh and we made the news in a big way. I was interviewed about the installation in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette
